A simplified analytical solution for steel plate strengthened circular tunnel concrete linings is presented, considering various interface slip modes. The full derivation the introduced in detail, from which explicit expressions stress and displacement fields throughout system are obtained. distribution of lining deformation, internal force, interaction between were investigated by tunnel-steel scenarios, namely no slip, elastic slip. result demonstrates importance having a well-bonded to maximize benefits strengthening approach. maximum shear locates at position with minimum normal stress.
